This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large rural estate based in North Northumberland with a portfolio of two hundred houses, farmsteads and a fully operational, Grade 1 listed Castle.
We are looking for a multi-skilled tradesperson with construction, building and joinery experience, and a positive, can-do attitude, to join our in-house maintenance team. Experience in the maintenance of traditional stone buildings and historic properties would be an added advantage.
The successful candidate will be motivated to work on their own as well as part of our busy, multi-talented team who undertake the Estate’s maintenance and building works. The team ensure jobs are completed in a timely, professional and efficient manner, and always with attention to detail. This is a hands-on position with the opportunity to further existing experience in contemporary and historic (often listed) building maintenance works.
Reporting & Skillset:
Reports directly to the Building Services Foreman.
5+ years’ experience in a property maintenance or construction environment (essential).
Thorough knowledge of the methods, techniques, practices and materials used in the care and maintenance of buildings, both residential (essential) and agricultural (desirable).
Experience of domestic drainage systems (desirable).
Reliable, professional, with a keen eye for detail (essential).
A competitive, market led salary based on 39 hours per week.
Optional overtime.
23 days’ holiday per annum plus statutory bank holidays.
Rental accommodation may be available on the estate.
Auto enrolment Pension scheme.
August start date preferred.
