Ford & Etal work closely with Till Valley Archaeological Society (TillVAS) – whose presence is a common sight on the Estate during the summer months. Their many activities include digs, talks and lectures, guided walks as well as classes and training. In the past, excavations have been carried out at Flodden Field, Etal and at nearby Norham and Wark. These have produced fascinating finds such as iron age pottery and bone.
Recent work has been carried out at the Barley Mill near Etal, Lindisfarne and Spindlestone.
