Enjoy bird-watching with other enthusiasts at this annual early-morning meet. All are welcome, anyone wishing to participate should be at Cheviot Tap car park, Slainsfield Nr. Etal, TD12 4TP by 5:30am, on Sunday 12th May, 2024. Non-members of the North Northumberland are asked to make a contribution to club funds.
At the 2023 Dawn Chorus meet the following birds were spotted: Mute Swan, Greylag Goose, Canada Goose, Mallard, Goosander, Pheasant,
Grey Heron, Moorhen, Lapwing, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Herring Gull, Woodpigeon, Collared Dove, Tawny Owl, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Skylark, Sand Martin, Pied Wagtail, Wren, Robin, Blackbird, Fieldfare, Song Thrush, Redwing, Mistle Thrush, Sedge Warbler, Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Long-tailed Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Coal Tit, Nuthatch, Jackdaw, Carrion Crow, House Sparrow, Tree Sparrow, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Goldfinch and finally a Reed Bunting.
