This one day light-hearted course of music-making at Etal Village Hall is designed for elementary and intermediate level wind players to give them the opportunity to participate in a mixed group – a cross between a wind orchestra and a small band. It is suitable for woodwind, saxophone and brass players, ABRSM Grade 3-6. Music is carefully tailored to suit all ability and confidence levels and will be available to participants to practise in advance. This chamber-sized group is ideal for learning and led by an enthusiastic and encouraging tutor, Trona Melville-Mason.
The course costs £90 which covers tuition, provision of practice parts and tea/coffee and biscuits. Lunch is not provided, either bring your own or go to The Lavender Tearooms which is just across the road.
The day runs from 10:00 to around 16:30 (registration begins at 09:30).
Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and, to ensure a reasonably balanced group, there may be a cap on a certain number of instruments.
