The Christmas Tree Trail is spread across Ford & Etal Estates and finishes up at Cheviot Tap in Slainsfield. If the weather is lovely you can enjoy a beautiful walk between the three hubs; it is just one mile between Etal and Heatherslaw and a mile-and-a-half between Heatherslaw and Ford. Cheviot Tap at Slainsfield is a mile-and-a-half uphill walk from Etal, but it is downhill all the way back! Footpath maps across the Estates can be downloaded from our Walks page.
Download the Christmas Tree Trail maps below and try to guess the Christmas film theme of each tree. The Lavender Tearooms and The Black Bull in Etal and Ford Village Shop in Ford village can provide warming refreshment and sustenance as you follow the trail. However, they will be following seasonal opening hours so please check times in advance to avoid disappointment, contact info for all establishments can be found on our Eat page.
Dogs on leads are welcome at Ford & Etal Estates and will enjoy stretching their legs on a walk in the beautiful countryside.
