Tiptoe Retreat has four properties lying in the heart of North Northumberland’s picturesque unspoilt landscape. Here, on the peaceful banks of the River Till, they welcome you to a haven of beauty and relaxation, set on a family farm. All properties are dog friendly.
There are two stylish, sustainable and luxurious ‘tree cabins’, Brock and Howtel, that each sleep two people, both with exclusive access to a stunning woodland sauna. Howtel is wheelchair friendly. In addition there are two family-friendly cosy cottages; Border View Cottage which sleeps four, and Orchard Cottage which sleeps 5.
Plus there are a range of optional home-grown experiences you can book to complete your relaxing break.
Lying in a beautiful orchard, with panoramic views of the Cheviot Hills, Orchard Cottage is the perfect place to relax and unwind. This lovely house was designed by the architect Basil Spence, best known for designing Coventry Cathedral. This three-bedroom property sleeps five, and two well-behaved dogs are also welcome. Visitors receive a welcome pack on arrival with a loaf of freshly-baked bread, local honey and milk. You can also book fishing and hire day rods via Till Fishing.

Border View Cottage sits in a row of traditional farm cottages at Tiptoe Farm. The accommodation sleeps 4 with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It has glorious views of the border between Scotland and England and is only a short walk from the River Till. There is a large open kitchen with a cosy alcove dining area. The sitting room is spacious with a large bay window and wood burning stove. The boot room has plenty of space to store wellies, coats and fishing gear. At the back there is a large enclosed west facing garden which is perfect spot for sunsets. There are two double bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed which can be converted to a twin beds. Visitors receive a welcome pack on arrival with a loaf of freshly-baked bread, local honey and milk. You can also book fishing and hire day rods via Till Fishing.
