Stable Cottage near Duddo

Stable Cottage, overlooking the former church of All Saints, is a superb retreat for discerning couples who want a cosy hideaway in North Northumberland. Originally the stable block of  a Victorian vicarage, it was lovingly converted to holiday accommodation in 2020. The property has access to the lovely extensive Vicarage gardens which boast stunning views towards the Cheviots.

It has a large open-plan living and dining area with a wood-burning stove, flagstone flooring and a vaulted ceiling with original exposed beams. Traditional cast iron radiators are powered by a modern oil fired boiler.

The compact kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, fan-oven microwave, and a refrigerator.

The cottage sleeps two people and has a mezzanine bedroom accessed via a cast iron spiral staircase. Relax in the king-size bed and, if you wish, gaze up at the starry skies above through skylight windows. Part of the bedroom is located in the eaves and has restricted headroom.

The bathroom has a traditional suite fitted with roll-top bath.

Stable Cottage is a perfect base from which to explore Ford and Etal Estates as well as the stunning coastline and countryside of North Northumberland and the Borders beyond. It lies six miles from Berwick-upon-Tweed and three miles from Ford & Etal Estates. There is ample onsite parking and bike storage if required.

Unfortunately Stable Cottage cannot accommodate pets.

Prices range from £350 per week in low season to £725 per week in high season.
