Heatherslaw was once the industrial heart of Ford & Etal Estates and Ford Forge has provided a base for a range of local industries. In a series of open days here you can learn more, including how the Forge functioned as a place of worship for several years. The Till Valley Archaeological Society (TILVAS) has been quietly compiling the history of the area for many years and has curated this small and charming exhibition which is open between 11:00 and 15:00.
Ford Forge is at Heatherslaw, it is on the same side of the river as Heatherslaw Light Railway, the entrance is roadside on the B6354.
