This hand-building pottery session has been designed for the young and un-young, but will require focus and concentration! You will create a castle tower using the slab-building method before adding windows, arrow slits, roofs, draw-bridges, portcullises, chimneys etc (basically whatever you fancy) in just two hours! Although simple in principle, it will involve all your creativity – but first you’ll have to decide whether your castle is the setting for a medieval siege or a fairy tale! The basic method will be outlined at the start, and then it’s up to you to create your castle! Once finished, your castle will stay at the studio to be fired, dip-glazed and then re-fired.
If you need to be present to support a younger participant there is no charge, but please make this known at time of booking as space is limited.
