Situated in the former granary at Heatherslaw Cornmill this traditional tearoom overlooking the River Till is open daily from late March until early November. Relax over good coffee or speciality tea along with a freshly baked scone, or call in when visiting the Cornmill or Railway for freshly prepared snacks, light lunches and home-made cakes and tray bakes.
All menu items available as take-out options.
Accessibility: The Tearoom is accessed via 5 stone steps down to the main door, with handrails to both sides, and 10 stone steps up to the seating area, with wooden handrail to one side. For less able-bodied visitors the full menu can be served at tables in the Visitor Centre opposite - just ask a member of staff for assistance.
Car parking for the Tearoom is situated over the bridge adjacent to the B6354 and opposite Heatherslaw Railway. The walk from the car park to the Tearoom is about 200 yards with a slight incline from car park to bridge then a level surface. For those with mobility problems there is disabled car parking outside the Visitor Centre, accessed from the B6353 at the T-junction which displays a 'No Through Road' sign. Turn into this road and follow it for about a mile - you will come to the Heatherslaw Mill site where you will see signs for disabled parking. If in doubt please telephone in advance for advice.
