Running now until 31st July in the Old Bakery Office opposite Heatherslaw Cornmill is a wildlife, landscape and military photography exhibition by two renowned local photographers, Ron McCombe and Jim Gibson.
Ron is an award winning wildlife photographer living in the Borders near Coldstream who won the title of Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2010. He specialises in Scottish wildlife but also travels throughout Europe taking images of other european wildlife. He delivers illustrated talks and holds workshops on Scottish wildlife on the Isle of Mull and throughout the Scottish Borders.
Jim offers a wide variety of photographic services from commercial and PR to landscapes to military to weddings. With over 20 years of experience and as a fully qualified member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers his work stands out for its creative flair, matched by technical excellence Northumberland based he is ideally located to cover the North-East, Scottish Borders and Edinburgh.
From 2nd-9th August we're delighted to welcome the Lowick Art Group to Heatherslaw Mill. They'll be hosting their second exhibition (but the first at Heatherslaw Mill) every day from 10am-4pm iin the Old Bakery Office opposite the Corn Mill. The group consists of about a dozen enthusiastic artists from all over the Berwick area who enjoy a wide variety of styles, media and techniques. Admission is free but donations are welcome.
The TillVAS Skirmish & War Exhibition which began in May also continues to run Tuesdays-Thursdays (and Bank Holiday Sundays and Mondays) in the Old Bakery Building, 11am-3pm.
Hay Farm Heavy Horse Centre is hosting afternoon talks from 2pm on selected dates (and some Saturday evenings)during which there will be a ridden display and traditional tail dressing will be demonstrated.
