In the "artists' cabinet" mother and son Harvest and Rowan Harris-Jones from Laverock Law near Lowick have a display comprising Harvest's felt making and Rowan's wildlife photography. This colourful mix of handcrafted books, pictures and more is well worth a visit, and if anything catches your eye you can buy it there and then!
In complete contrast, a second exhibition of A&R Robb of Coldstream's Mauchline Ware, "Floden Field Wood Work" which was made in the 19th century, can also be viewed. This too is an interesting display, loaned to the Lady Waterford Hall by Jane Bowen. Mauchline Ware - small, useful, transfer-decorated woodem items -was popular from around 1850 until 1920.
