Tosca is a must see tragic opera for both newcomers and aficionados. The magnificent Puccini score has breathtakingly beautiful arias and rousing musical moments. This new production by Opera Brava is set in Rome in the 1940’s and brings to light all of the tragedies that happen in relationships during a world of conflict. It is sung in English and the role of Tosca is performed by the Polish/Scottish soprano Natasha Day. Expect world class singing from Britain’s outstanding touring opera company.
Bring rugs, and your own chairs for comfort. we will have porters to help you carry your things. When you order your ticket you can also purchase a delicious picnic box to collect on arrival, but if you prefer you can bring your own. There is no bar so you will need to bring your own drinks for the evening. Gates open at 5.30pm so you can relax and enjoy this incredible setting and feel the atmosphere build in the run up to this very special open-air performance which begins at 7:30pm.

We suggest that you check the weather forecast on the day so that you can dress appropriately, please remember to bring torches as it will be dark when you leave and the car park will be unlit. NB: No umbrellas are allowed inside the courtyard.
Car parking will be available in a nearby field and it is a short walk from here to the castle. There will be disabled parking spaces on a hard surface.
