Continuing the celebrations around the bicentenary of Louisa Waterford's birth, the Lady Waterford Hall is taking part in the HODS weekends where the theme is "Extraordinary Women".
in addition to the works of art by Louisa Waterford which are displayed in the Hall, throughout September there will be special exhibitions about The Waterfords and the influence that Lady Waterford had on the village of Ford. On the HODS days there will also be guided tours at 11.30pm and 2.30pm, with a talk in the Hall followed by a walk down the village past Ford Castle where Lady Waterford lived, and finishing in St Michael & All Angels Churchyard at Louisa's grave.
On 8th & 9th September Linda Bankier, the Berwick Archivist, will give a talk and presentation at 1pm each day on "Ford Estate at the time of the Waterfords".
On Heritage Open Days admission to the Hall and the guided tours are free (although donations to the upkeep of the Hall welcome). Tours last for approximately one hour.
