Expect a friendly welcome at this pretty riverside café in what was once Heatherslaw Corn Mill’s Grain Store.
There is an extensive menu and on top of sandwiches and toasties you can choose from soups, quiches, pizzas, pies or fish and chips on a Friday. There are plenty of cakes to tempt you with scones, tray bakes and sponges on offer.
Northern Edge Coffee, blended in Berwick-upon-Tweed is served, and a full range of Bari Teas. There are soft drinks for children including locally brewed apple juice. If ice-cream is your passion you can sample local Morwick Dairy Ice-cream.
Parts of the menu can be served as a takeaway.
If the weather is good there is no finer place to sit and enjoy the riverside views and listen to the birdsong.
Unfortunately there is no lift in this listed building, but if you have mobility issues the café staff will be happy to bring food and drink down to you, just ask someone to let us know you are here and we will take you order.
