ETAL VILLAGE HALL (Registered Charity No. 1099138)
Available to hire for weddings, parties, receptions, meetings,
conferences, film shows, almost any event!
INFORMATION ON FACILITIES Etal Village Hall was completely refurbished during 2005/2006 with grant assistance from DEFRA, the Northern Rock Foundation,
The Joicey Trust, Ford & Etal Estates and Awards for All.
The original hall was opened in 1926 as a Reading Room. The newly refurbished hall was re-opened in 2006 as a multi purpose village hall offering full disabled access. Key to the refurbishment was reducing the energy requirements and therefore the main hall has full insulation to the roof and gable ends, new windows and a ground source heating system. There is one fully disabled toilet and a disabled car parking space close to the hall entrance.
The hall has a broadband connection with a wireless network. There is a computer room with 3 networked PC’s, high quality photo printer, scanner & digital card reader. In 2002 Etal Youth Club received funding to erect a climbing/traversing wall which is also available for use by local groups. A volunteer Management Committee looks after Etal Village Hall. The Committee is keen to get the hall used as much as possible by the voluntary, community and business sector. When organising an event, please consider using Etal Hall which is in the heart of Etal Village. The village also has a thriving local pub, tea room and post office, plant nursery, furniture maker & Etal Castle (English Heritage.
